South Maui

Hawaii... the 50th of the United States ... celebrated 50 Years of Statehood in 2009. Maui County consists of the islands of Maui, Lana'i, Moloka'i and Kaho'olawe. As your Maui4Sun hosts, we will limit our tour to the Best of the Best ... South Maui.

Maui is two "islands" ... connected by a valley ... hence its nickname - The Valley Isle. The older "island" is dominated by the West Maui Mountains ... the younger "island" was created by the majestic Mount Haleakala. South Maui is actually the Western Shore area of the Haleakala portion ... south from Ma'alaea Bay.

Kihei Town and the districts known as Wailea and Makena as well as wilderness land south to La Perouse Bay make up South Maui.

SOUTH MAUI ... a Tropical Paradise with the comforts of Home

If you have never been to Maui - please explore our site to get our impressions of the Island ... and specifically the part of the Island ... that we love. Please Email us with any questions or comments you may have. If you're a South Maui veteran, explore and see if we can evoke some memories of the Magical Isle. You'll agree with some of our opinions ... and you may disagree with others. Either way, please Email us with your thoughts.

Your Maui4Sun hosts June & John have been visiting Maui since 1985. We have our own beach chairs, kayaks and snorkel gear ... so most of our 'activities' are now free. Be sure to bring your snorkel gear (mask, snorkel and fins). If you don't have gear, weekly rentals are very affordable here.

Not only a great Vacation - an email Friend, too!
